Carmel, IN (July 29, 2015) –On July 29, 2015, Atapco Properties, Inc. (Atapco) broke ground on Carmel Lakeside Green, a 61,050 SF LEED redevelopment project.  The new Class A office building, located at Carmel Drive and Guilford Road, in Carmel, Indiana, will be the newest addition to Atapco’s 35 acre mixed-use Lakeside Development.  The project is slated to be the first new speculative LEED office building in Carmel and the first Class A office space built in Carmel since City Center at Penn in 2008.

The building is being built to meet or exceed the new LEED v4 building standards and will feature efficient and environmentally friendly geothermal systems that help to reduce operating expenses and improve overall tenant comfort.  Lakeside Green tenants will be able to enjoy the use of the fitness center,  for the new Lakeside apartment community and other planned Lakeside amenities. The building will be a striking new addition to the neighborhood with full height windows and a metal panel, cast stone and brick exterior. Delivery is expected in spring 2016.

The groundbreaking ceremony included remarks from Carmel, Indiana Mayor, James Brainard, and Atapco Properties’ President Kevin McAndrews.
