Our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility is an integral part of Atapco’s company culture and has been since Atapco’s inception.  As individuals and as a company, we seek to actively contribute to the betterment of the communities where we live, work and do business.

We understand the impact that real estate development can have on the environment. We proactively utilize and implement sustainable development and building strategies to reduce our environmental footprint and benefit our tenants and the overall community. We also encourage a sustainable outlook for our employees. In addition to a company-wide recycling program, all offices are located within walking distance of public transportation and monthly transit passes are paid in full by the company.

Atapco’s dedication to corporate social responsibility is also evident through the company’s long history of community involvement.  We take great satisfaction in the voluntary services performed by our employees. Whether through sweat equity or monetary donations, Atapco employees take an active role in their communities. Employees are encouraged to volunteer their time individually and through organized group activities such as our annual United Way Day of Service.

Team members have engaged in projects such as student mentoring, forest trail clean-ups, construction renovations through Habitat for Humanity and service at local food banks and homeless shelters.  Atapco also offers a contribution matching program, multiplying the positive impact of each employee’s donation.  Our dedication to strengthening the communities that we live and work in is also shown true by the location of Atapco’s headquarters. We have been based in the downtown business district of Baltimore, Maryland since the company’s inception. While other businesses have moved away from the city, Atapco has stayed put and is committed to remaining a strong presence in the area and helping to preserve the vitality of  downtown Baltimore.
