ATAPCO PROPERTIES IMPLEMENTS ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOLUTIONS

August 8, 2011

Christiana, DE:  Phoenix Energy Alliance (PEA), a renewable energies financial solutions firm, just finished the installation of a 100 kW photovoltaic (PV) solar array to Building 121 of Atapco’s Christiana Executive Campus.

This solar electric system allows the opportunity for the Atapco owned building to produce clean, renewable energy on-site,offsetting its energy consumption at a predicted rate of 191 tons of carbon dioxide per year (2.3 lbs. /kwh. EPA).

This extremely significant “green upgrade” is just one example of Atapco Properties’ many efforts to implement environmentally responsible building solutions as part of their commitment to sustainable development.

Atapco Properties is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Trading and Production Corporation, which was originally formed in 1931 to consolidate, expand and diversify the business activities of the Blaustein family, the founders of the American Oil Company (AMOCO).  For more information, please visit  www.AtapcoProperties.com.
