Property Description

In 2015, the City of Charlotte acquired the land along the North Tryon Road frontage of Atapco Properties’ University Executive Park needed to extend the Lynx Blue Line from City Center to the University of North Carolina Charlotte campus.  This acquisition severely impacted two office buildings in the thirteen-building office park. In 2015, Atapco began the planning required to redevelop the two office parcels into a 278-unit mixed-use building with 5,600sf of retail and secure structured parking. In 2017, Atapco successfully rezoned the property and released the project architect JDavis to proceed with construction documents. Construction on the project began in April 2018 with the first residents occupying the building in April 2020. The property is located the growing area of University City just 8 miles north of Charlotte City Center and 2 miles south of the University of North Carolina Charlotte campus.
