ATAPCO PROPERTIES’ CREEKSIDE VILLAGE WINS MBIA LAND DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

Baltimore, MD (November 16, 2017) – Creekside Village took home the top prize in the Maryland Building Industry Association’s (MBIA) “Land Development Council Community Development Awards of Excellence” in the residential category for 2017 at an awards banquet and ceremony held at the Hotel at Arundel Preserve on November 15th.

Atapco Properties is the developer of Creekside Village, a premier 208-unit apartment and 820 single-family and townhome community located in Glen Burnie, MD. The community includes a year-round clubhouse with party and great rooms, exercise facilities, beach entry pool and splash pad, community parks, playgrounds, and walking trails- all surrounded by lush landscaping and a welcoming atmosphere. Creekside Village was thoughtfully designed and developed as a place where neighbors can come together for special events throughout the year, and families can enjoy every day in a resort-like setting.

The award for Creekside Village was presented to Ron Snyder, Director of Development for Atapco Properties, Russ Powell, Vice President of Atapco Properties, and Ryan Pond. The project is NAHB Bronze Certified and the apartment clubhouse was awarded LEED Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

After accepting the award, Ron Snyder remarked, “We are so pleased that Creekside won this prestigious award. It has been a true labor of love to ensure that the Creekside community embodies a resort-style living designed and built with an environmentally sound approach.”

This prestigious awards program, sponsored by MBIA’s Land Development Council, offers recognition to development professionals who provide superior and creative development projects that are sensitive to the community and make appropriate use of the existing natural elements. They are widely recognized as the area’s most prestigious land development awards and are used to identify and promote best practices.
