Awards & AccreditationsNews & Updates ATAPCO PROPERTIES’ ENTERPRISE CENTER AT VIRGINIA PORT LOGISTICS PARK EARNS PRESTIGIOUS CSX SELECT SITE DESIGNATIONSUFFOLK, VA – Atapco Properties is proud to announce that the Enterprise Center at Virginia Port Logistics Park has been officially designated as a CSX Select Site achieving a Silver rating. The 124-acre industrial site, located in Suffolk, VA, offers the capacity to accommodate up to 1.5 million square feet of industrial space in either a single large-scale building or a multi-building configuration. The CSX Select Site designation is awarded to development-ready properties along the CSX network where land-use considerations and comprehensive due diligence have been pre-addressed. This “shovel-ready” status significantly reduces construction timelines, allowing manufacturers to bring products to market faster. “The Silver CSX Select Site designation for Enterprise Center at Va Port Logistics Park is an outstanding achievement”, said Suffolk Mayor Michael Duman. “We appreciate CSX for recognizing the tremendous potential of this site and we look forward to the designation as a tool to accelerate economic growth by attracting top-level manufacturing and industrial companies.” To earn this designation, the Enterprise Center met a rigorous set of criteria, including: · Infrastructure & Utilities: Confirmed availability and capacity. · Environmental & Zoning: Completed reviews, air quality permitting, and proper entitlement. · Logistics Connectivity: Proven rail serviceability and close proximity to major highways and interstates. “We are incredibly proud of this recognition, which serves as a testament to the site’s exceptional infrastructure and strategic location,” said Russel Powell, President of Atapco Properties. “This designation by CSX validates this property’s status as a premier logistics hub capable of generating long-term job creation and economic prosperity for the entire region.” “We are excited to see the Enterprise Center at Virginia Port Logistics Park earn this Select Site designation,” said Sarah McCoy, Interim CEO of the Virginia Port Authority. It reflects the hard work of our partners and the market confidence in the infrastructure, location, and future capabilities of this growing global gateway. Additional visibility from CSX’s announcement only strengthens the momentum we’re building across the Commonwealth.” CSX introduced the Select Site program in 2012 to streamline the site-selection process for customers. Working alongside Austin Consulting, a nationally recognized firm, CSX screens candidate sites to ensure they are prepared for immediate, large-scale industrial development. ### Atapco Properties is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Trading and Production Corporation, which was originally formed in 1931 to consolidate, expand and diversify the business activities of the Blaustein family, the founders of the American Oil Company (AMOCO).
