Royal Farms

Baltimore, MD  –Atapco Properties (“Atapco”) is proud to announce approximately 8 Acres of Commercial Light Industrial (CLI) have been rezoned to Planned Development – Commercial Center (Small Regional Center, “PD-CC(SC)”), or simply rezoned from light industrial to retail.

The project is located at the intersection of Route 50 and Tall Cedars Parkway, directly across from Atapco Properties’ LEED® certified Harris Teeter anchored East Gate Marketplace.

The Shoppes at East Gate also received a Special Exception approval to develop a Royal Farms convenience store gas station. Royal Farms is finalizing design for this project and it is expected to open in the Fall of 2017. Brittany Eldredge, Public Relations Director for Royal Farms states “Royal Farms is thrilled to have such a great site for one of our first stores in Northern Virginia. Our partnership with ATAPCO has been vital in our ability to move into this area, and we look forward to a successful location”.

The remaining project is comprised of three pad sites and one 12,000 square foot multi-tenant retail building. Atapco Properties is currently in design and planning to break ground in early 2017. The anticipated completion date for the 12,000 square foot building is by end of 2017.
