Verde at Howard Square

Elkridge, MD

In 2010, Atapco acquired 43.2 acres fronting on U.S. Route 1 in Howard County, Maryland. Atapco redeveloped the property into three components: 424 for–sale townhome lots, which were sold to NVR; Verde West, a joint venture with Dolben Companies consisting of 299-LEED Platinum apartments; and Verde East, the final phase of the project, another joint venture with Dolben Companies consisting of 344 luxury LEED Platinum apartments and 22,000 square feet of retail space. Both Verde East and Verde West have solar arrays, generating 350 kilowatts and 187 kilowatts of energy daily respectively.

Lakeside Apartments

Carmel, IN

Carmel Lakeside I is a 283–unit, 17–building, garden style apartment project, consisting of three- and four-story buildings, located on 14 acres in Downtown Carmel, Indiana. The site also includes a 2-acre water feature. Construction on Carmel Lakeside I began in 2014 and was completed in 2016. Carmel Lakeside II, the second phase, consisting of 110 residential units, completed in the summer of 2024. The project has easy access to amenities in Carmel, as well as the popular Monon Trail, an 18-mile multi-use trail connecting Carmel, IN to downtown Indianapolis.

Verde at McCullough Station

Charlotte, NC

Located in Charlotte, NC, adjacent to the Lynx Blue Line McCullough Street rail station and our University Executive Park property, this 278-unit apartment building includes a 426-space garage and 5,300 square feet of retail space. Amenities in the building include a cyber lounge, game room, commercia  kitchen, media room, pool, a dog wash, and grill stations. The building received National Green Building Standard (NGBS) Bronze Certification in 2020. Verde at McCullough Station is luxury living in the fast-growing University City neighborhood with access to the excitement and vibrancy of the Uptown Charlotte, NoDa and South End neighborhoods.

Verde at Greenbelt Station

Greenbelt, MD

In 2014, Atapco, as part of a joint venture with The Dolben Company, acquired 5.7 acres in Greenbelt, Maryland. The property included an approved site plan for 304 apartments. Verde at Greenbelt Station offers proximity to the Greenbelt Metro station, providing easy commuter access to the entire Washington, D.C. metro area. It is also close to the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and Greenbelt area parks and amenities. The LEED Gold certified building has three private courtyards including a pool and upscale amenities throughout. There is also a solar array, generating 132 kilowatts of energy daily. Verde at Greenbelt Station was the first new apartment building constructed in Greenbelt in over 20 years.

Hamilton Gateway

Baltimore, MD

Hamilton Gateway is a  joint venture with local developer  Sam Polakoff,  principal of  Property Consulting Inc. It consists of a 0.86–acre parcel in the Hamilton neighborhood of northeast Baltimore City on which a 79–unit apartment building, known as Hamilton Gateway, will be constructed and owned by the joint venture.  

Creekside Village Apartments

Glen Burnie, MD

Creekside Village Apartments are part of the adjoining Creekside project with 208 Apartments on approximately 8 acres of property. The six garden style apartment buildings include both three–story walk-up and four–story elevator buildings. It was one of the first apartment sites designed with Environmental Site Design storm water management practices. In 2014, Creekside Village Apartments Clubhouse was awarded the USGBC LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver certification, established by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).  The project is located near several large businesses, shopping centers, and recreation facilities with access to the extensive trail system in the area.
