(Atapco) is excited to announce two Atapco projects that have been recognized by the Baltimore Metro chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC Baltimore) for excellence in construction.  Verde at Howard Square and Creekside Village Apartments have both won an Excellence in Construction Award in the category of New Project Over $10 Million.  Winners were announced at the banquet ceremony held at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore on June 11, 2015.

Lend Lease, who served as general contractor, received the award for Verde at Howard Square, a 299-unit, LEED Platinum apartment community located in Elkridge, MD.

The award for Creekside Village Apartments was presented to Harkins Builders, the general contractor for the project.  Creekside Village is a 208-unit apartment community located in Glen Burnie, Maryland. The project is NAHB Bronze Certified and the apartment clubhouse is LEED Silver.  Creekside Village also won builder/project of the year.

The ABC Baltimore’s Excellence in Construction Awards honors the regions most innovative and high quality construction projects, safety and diversity programs. The winning projects were selected from entries submitted from across the region and were judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety, and budget.
